As your HOA board, we need to better understand our community to best serve you. While It is important for you not only promptly notify us of your issues (e.g., via the Colts Neck Cluster Complaint Form preferably with follow-up input to the monthly open forum board meetings) – it is just as important for the board to proactively gather information to better address topics and execute informed actions that enhance our community. This includes the effectiveness of our dues invoicing, night lighting, waste removal, covered and open parking, and common area maintenance including landscaping attractiveness.
Thus, the board requests your voluntary input via the following survey – sent every couple of years – hoping to receive your response within two weeks of your receipt. The more you complete, the better we may serve you. The survey is intended for each owner, and if applicable, separately also by a lead renter in representing a particular cluster address.
The survey is intended for the address owner – and also recognizes renters in the influence upon the cluster. If information is insufficient to resolve an issue via sent email to the owner, a board decision may instruct a board officer to initiate direct contact with the resident occupant(s) including a renter; with subsequent information to the resolution of the issue provided to the owner. In circumstances that require immediate or timely action, e.g., excessive noise after 10pm, parking near a fire hydrant; or next to other curb striping or unauthorized use of another’s covered parking space – the resident may act without board approval such as to quiet the neighbor, or to remove the vehicle from that location that may include Fairfax County Police involvement and commercial towing police at vehicle owner’s expense.
